In addition to CSR work, Phone Chaplains are trained to answer calls that require extra time or skill in answering the caller’s questions. Most Phone Chaplains are Seminary students or religion majors, but others can also qualify for this work at AIM. Chaplains will often answer in-depth doctrinal and spiritual questions and seek to help the caller find God’s will for their life.
Chaplains are required to attend the weekly chaplain meetings. Currently these meetings are on Thursdays from 7—8 PM. Before becoming a chaplain the employee will receive training and experience as a CSR and that work will always remain a part of their job.
Some chaplains are promoted to positions of further responsibility and leadership at AIM.
Phone Chaplain: $7.60-$8.00
Referral Chaplain: $8.50-$9.00
Senior Chaplain: $9.00-$9.50
